Lumesis is looking to grow our Business Development team to add a MD level person with significant experience in muni bond trading and/or sales. The position is ideal for someone looking to join a fin-tech leader to help expand our presence on trading desks. 

Lumesis, a leading provider of Municipal Bond Market business and compliance solutions, is looking for an experienced municipal market trader and/or sales person interested in helping continue our growth through business development and client relationships along with an opportunity to be involved in product and service evolution. The MD, Business Development will be expected to leverage their industry knowledge and relationships to help grow Lumesis’ market share and platform. This senior level position will report directly to the CEO.

  • 15+ years Municipal sales and/or trading experience with deep knowledge of the municipal market 
  • Strong and deep, trusted relationships with traders across the municipal market (nurture and expansion of your network) 
  • Develop new business opportunities 
  • Understand client needs and drive engagement and positioning — developing a clear understanding of client hot buttons and needs through active client management 
  • Understand and analyze competitors 
  • Opportunity for conference speaking, webinar participation and writing market relevant content
  • Engage regularly with Client Services and our internal Product Team to share ideas, discuss what market participants are asking for, and periodically participate in high level design sessions
  • Collaborate and provide input on marketing efforts
  • Must be able to travel one-third of the time in the US 
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of an organization 
  • Office location – flexible (will be required to visit our Stamford, CT office periodically)
  • Compensation – base salary of $100,000 plus commission

Work within Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), cloud-based financial technology company; apply principles and practices of software quality assurance throughout the software development life cycle to further diversify proprietary DIVER software platform in the municipal bond marketplace; innovatively handle manual testing of the web-based applications and cross-browser testing to keep up with the dynamically changing requirements of the company; write, maintain, approve, and execute manual and automated test cases/suites for both front and back-end functionality; write sophisticated SQL queries against relational databases; certify product compliance with browsers and their versions; liaison with Product Management to comply with specifications and participate in the specification process; work with channel distribution and content partners to ensure quality of integrated software; contribute to the SDLC and conduct manual and automation testing within Agile environments; automate web based applications; participate and provide input in release planning; communicate effectively the status of the Quality Assurance tasks; work closely with the development team to perform complex functionality testing of new features for DIVER platform products and to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed; track multiple aspects of projects simultaneously; develop an expertise in the functionality and inner workings of Lumesis applications, database, and data processes.

Must have Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similarly related discipline plus 24 months of experience in IT to include quality assurance and testing for financial applications.
